Catalia Health has created Mabu, an artificially intelligent personal wellness companion empowering patients by helping them manage their medical condition. My team focused on "how might we motivate patients to remain adherent to their medication plan?"
Our team needed to go from zero to hero on artificial intelligence, voice UI design and testing, and understanding the complexity of chronic and terminal illnesses within regard to medication management and adherence. We did not have access to the specific patient population (congenital heart failure and terminal kidney disease) for whom this pilot would be designed.
Through a jobs-to-be-done framework and incorporating an iterative research, design, test, approach, we were able to implement 4 major intents covering onboarding medications, medications reminders, checking in on adherence, and changes to the medication plan for the pilot test.

This fintech startup's product enables business users to be more productive including spending less time creating reports and more time acting on insights. My team focused on "how might we empower users with actionable insights for diverse needs?"
We need to hide the complexity of our querying system, while empowering users with robust tools that could allow them to search and manipulate real time date easily and quickly.
Users were thrilled with the intuitive interface and how quickly they could perform complex searches. Excel uploads to the system decreased by 31% (median/client). There was a whopping 5-fold increase in advanced searches performed per week. Overall user productivity score jumped from 47% to 56%.

This customer data company transforms raw data inputs into quality outputs for data science, analysis, and reporting. My team focused on "how might we help users quickly discover data quality issues in a manner that's easy to fix?"
Data jobs can take hours, so failure aren't immediately apparent. Jobs can be marked complete, but sub-jobs could've failed. Further, job verification is a manual and tedious process that takes place outside of the system. We needed to remove undue friction, simplify complexity, and increase trust in the job execution, monitoring, and results experience.
The improved job execution experience reduced the consecutive job fail rate by almost 22%. The new job results page also increased overall user engagement rates in the app as well as engagement rates during active jobs.
